Dude, that storm that I described earlier tonight? TORNADO. It cut through Brooklyn and Queens and caused a ton of damage. WTFFFF.

Apparently the place your car went to when it was towed was leveled. Some pictures from The Plains look really bad, and our high school roof was damaged -- they spent my entire junior year replacing that thing, and it's not like there's a lot of money to throw around. :(

I MISSED the Brooklyn tornado because I was in Manhattan at my mom's apartment! I didn't even hear about it until this morning! I'M SO BITTER. (I'm also kind of nervous to go home tonight . . . hopefully my apartment is still there!)

That happens to me with earthquakes. I mean, not that they've ever been big earthquakes, but there have been a couple that were felt in Chicago, and I've experienced nada. Even my summer in San Francisco, nothing! (Good luck with your apartment, though -- eeesh.)

Yeah, I completely missed the one big earthquake that happened when I was out in California, too. I came out of my very well-shielded building to half-a-dozen concerned messages and emails asking if I was all right, and I was so confused, because I hadn't even heard a thing about it! Very disappointing. (Haha, thanks!)
