I've always tried to take interesting pics of the dioramas at the Museum of Natural History but I think I will try harder next time because those shots are inexplicably cool. Relatedly (is that a word?), the photography questions at thewindypixel.com were really thought-provoking and useful.

Thing that makes me sad and angry: books in the trash!

I love TWP -- the main guy is leaving Chicago for San Francisco, and I'm really sad I won't get his perspective on my city anymore.

And yes!! What the actual heck? I mean, I see what the stores' perspective is, but I have to make myself totally devalue books to do it, and that's just. NO.

Ugh, and trust me, the publishers are probably PO'd at the practice too. They are trying not to order more than they expect to sell, and books being thrown away means they screwed up.

Aw damn, that IS sad that the photog dude is leaving Chicago. The city is amazing through his lens.
