I was looking up my polling place for tomorrow and discovered that somehow my registration never got switched over to JP when I moved from Orleans

I'd try to go vote where you used to vote in NOLA. If you're inactive you're still eligible to vote for 5 years after being put on the inactive list. I would think that would be the only place you might be able to vote tomorrow.

you should contact the JP registrar of voters (http://www.sos.la.gov/tabid/1175/Default.aspx) to make sure but i think you can bring a utility bill, payroll, or government document with your address and name to your new polling place

You can cast a provisional ballot either at your new precinct. The process to cast a provisional ballot is quite easy and is actually quite easy (I did it in 2004). Bring your ID or any other item that proves your address (your ID will be perfect) and you'll be good to go. Your vote won't be counted into the official tally immediately, but there is a process by which the registrar of voters will verify your eligibility to vote (i.e. you're not a felon etc). Once that is completed your vote will be tallied into the official final results just like a normal ballot. Happy election day!
