Favorite date-y/intimate restaurant that's relatively cheap? Can be any neighborhood, any type of food, as long as it's yummy.

Crepe Nanou on Robert and Prytania! Not very expensive at all, but the food is great.

Bacchanal also a great place for a date, but wait until Sunday evening when they have a guest chef.

second crepe nanou.

cafe grenada is good. it can be pricey, but it depends on how hungry you are and how much tapas you actually buy.

The Green Goddess is wonderful and intimate and the food is delightful, you can make it as low or as high end as you want by sharing dishes and the staff is friendly and fun.

Their website:

And you can catch a look at their menu as well. They have a wonderful tasting menu (That changes seasonally) and there are plenty of yummy things served on it for sharing. (Though I was a pig and ate it all myself for my birthday dinner last year)

I can't say enough good things about the Green Goddess.

My dinner review from last year:

Wherever you go will be fantastic, no doubt. Have fun!

I like Jamilla's for dates. For the quality, it's cheap. You're never rushed, meaning if the date goes really well, you can be there for hours. It's located in a romantic-walk-friendly area, too!

I second this. When I go to Jamila's, I spend no less than two leisurely, entirely pleasurable hours there (but it's more like four or five, no lie). Moncef and Jamila are the best and the food is outstanding.
