Oooh, this is just perfect! Flynn and Provenza looking out for Sharon and Rusty, Sharon trusting her instincts and Severus enough not to jump to conclusions. The back story is perfect for this 'verse and it's so wonderful Snape trusts her enough to tell her then entire truth.

Yet another great chapter of a great piece!

Aww, thanks. This chapter was probably the most challenging, technique wise, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Thanks so much for reading. :D

Amazing how you can make both Sharon's world and Serverus's world feel so real at the same time. Loved the "Hot Potato" line...I could see them doing this, Provenza wanting her to know and Andy wanting her not to be hurt over it. And the detail that all the while Serverus is telling her a pretty odd, sometimes horrifying story, she never lets go of his hand. That bit of action says a lot :-) Kind of an on-going acceptance, which it feels like he needs. They seem good for each other (well, for all three of them).

That was the most challenging part of this, I think, making Severus's feel real - and taking magic out of the equation, (and a school for gifted children) leaves a pretty terrible war/spy story. Bringing that into being through flashbacks and Sharon's POV of Sev telling her was a series of choices. I'm glad it worked for you. :)

Provenza and Andy love to play hot potato with responsibilities, don't they? :)

Sharon's good at listening to people's stories, not reacting, and being all supportive and accepting. She's basically the most perfect person for Severus and Rusty. *hugs this family* I didn't see Sharon and Severus forming such a supportive bond when I started (honestly, the working title was "house of snark" for the first few chapters) but I'm glad it worked out like this.

Yes, the three of them are good for each other. I kind of want to be part of this little family. :)

Thanks for reading. :D
