*glances quickly around to make sure severus!muse isn't there* OH MY GOSH - HE/THEY/SHE ARE SO CUTE AND ADORABLE! I just want to squish them together and have them be happy... All of them. Is it too much to ask for Stroh to just? I don't know - evaporate from the universe? No? Too easy?

Thanks dear for another installment of this wonderful crossover. :) I do love that Sharon's boundless capability to love and understand and compromise work so well with the her chosen family - these men who were once anchorless and adrift not necessarily by choice... And they found her, and she's just perfect for them. *gets all mushy again*

They're all so cute together, I know. I'd love to make Stroh disappear and have my babies all be happy together. (I'm glad I can give them moments of sweetness between all the crap, though.)

I love that you see the similarities between Rusty and Severus. The more I wrote them, the more I realized how much they have in common, and their bond, and their growing relationship with Sharon (on different levels) seemed so...organic. *hugs my perfect little chosen family*

This just gets better and better with each chapter! As always, I love the emotional maturity you allow your older characters to have, the respect for their previous experiences that color any new relationships or issues. Seeing them bond so strongly over Rusty is just *sigh* so adorable. And I love that Sharon no longer has to deal with all of the anxiety alone.

Aww, thanks, hon. I'm thrilled you think I've captured their emotional maturity - that's what I love about writing older characters. (Although Rusty has a lot of maturity, in some ways, for his age. He's such a fun, yet complex character to write. ♥)

I've loved developing the three-way bond and cultivating Severus and Rusty's friendship - they have so much in common, and I love that Severus truly wants to guide and protect him, yet he trusts and respects Sharon to do that as well.

This was a fun fic to write and explore these relationships. I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

Just two more chapters left (although I may revisit these three in "snapshots").

I love that they're being cute and squishy but they're also acknowledging and working with all the boundaries that would naturally be in place. It feels like Severus is working at re-parenting himself and doing some cautious healing through helping Rusty. I'm a sucker for mature folks doing more straight talking more than flirting, (although both are fun) and it's wonderful to see that straight talk can be just as sexy :-) They feel like a good fit, and I don't know that I was expecting that going in. They all get each other so well. I'm sad I'm at the end of what you've posted so far but it was awesome reading it all in one go :-D

It was a fun challenge making Snape cute and squishy while still keeping him Snape-like. I channeled a lot of Col. Brandon (a "lighter" INTJ played by AR) for this fic, which seemed to work well with Sharon.

I mentioned before I didn't expect this to be such a tightly bonded family unit. I thought the three of them would just be delightfully snarky, but I had no notion of plot, etc. But Severus and Rusty have similar stories (as do Sev and Harry, but there's too much "baggage" between them for Sev to ever acknowledge that) and it was neat to see how they would play off of each other, and off of Sharon. She was introduced into their lives at roughly the same time, so it made for a fun experiment with this three-way bond.

Anyway, Severus and Sharon doing straight talking is their version of flirting, I think, especially Severus. :) I couldn't imagine writing them any other way.
