So hard to know what's going to push someone's buttons. I feel for Luke here. Chocolates and flowers - the almost-ultimate apology. Good for Luke for taking the initiative and apologizing first.

Luke's a good guy. I think his parents helped with that too.

In situations like this, I feel for both of them: Her pain (haven't figured out the exact source) and his desire to share her burdens like she does with his. They'll have a lot to work through.

Oh, man, I have feelings for everybody here: frustrated Luke, cornered Ashley, and patient Rose guiding her bb through this part of being an adult (with Adam's support). I love that he left the offerings outside the door--that felt very respectful of her space and needs. And Rose asking whether this is a deal-breaker instead of taking sides, etc. was perfect. Feels like healthy growth all the way around :-)

I'm glad you caught all the feels. :D That's exactly what I was feeling when I was writing them. That Luke is pretty smart. ♥ I think he'll do just fine.
