Interestingly, this semi-answers a question I raised in the GDoc.

Can't imagine Margaret's fear after that first visit - and the strength it took not to tell anyone until the labs were back.

Yes, Rose definitely takes an active role in caring for her family. Also, I think Margaret is her best friend in a lot of ways, so that adds to the dynamic too.

Such fear and strength here for both of them.

Yeah, this took a lot out of me.

Margaret and Rose are friends as well as mother-daughter, so it adds even more to their dynamic and current (and future) ouchies.
