Oh, Lee. Sometimes I just wanna smack him. So caught up in his own crap that he doesn't want to realize everybody has their own, too, including his dad.

And I adore Kara coming up with a story Lee would want to hear, just to keep him in the room.

Oh, I am so happy you wrote Kara/Lee! What a lovely surprise. I've always thought that Kara was the best catalyst for these two and this shows it so well. You really captured Lee's discomfort and apprehension around his father and the mixed signals he often gets from Bill. I love the idea of humor getting them to sit and drink together and moreover it reminds me a lot of their scene in the corridors right before Flattop and the other pilots were killed. It's such a small scene, but this re-captured something they had trouble ever having again. Lovely. Thank you so much!
