Yep. I'm done. 50,000 words, in 14 days. Almost 13 days, but I figured I'd save the last 350 or so for today. Not a full NaNoWriMo of course, because it wasn't one novel, but it was almost that. All but about 10k I worked on a single project, albeit it one I'd thought about for a while and written a tiny bit on before.

I have the same problem with dialogue. Characters can just talk and talk and there'll be no description in sight. I feel like I should have something, but why? If your dialogue is engaging, why do you need to pull away from it with description of what the character is doing? But my writing style is very sparse. I don't do a lot of describing, which can be bad sometimes, but I like to think a character's actions can better reflect what he or she is feeling sometimes. I don't need to tell the reader all the time what emotions are running through the character's head. Being subtle can go a long way.
Funny you should mention continuity because I'm having that problem right now. I can't remember what I wrote last week and I'm having to go back and see. This is what happens when you try to write a lengthy project in a short period of time. You get lost in your own words. :-)

I have that talking heads problem with dialogue, too. And sometimes it seems so contrived to have them doing something to break up the chunks of dialogue. Something to work on for the future, I guess.
