Your ideas are really neat. I like the cannot-be-killed-guy idea a lot. Like Kenny from South Park. ;) The Oracle thing reminds me a lot of Dark Angel too (since I'm re-watching season one of that now). I really like that dynamic.
In your universe, did any of the other Angel players survive?
Well, in this particular scenario I'd probably keep most of the Angel cast alive from the finale - Gunn was probably the most wounded of those left in the end, so if he survived then all of them should have. Wesley died before the ending scene though, so he's dead. In my Angel Season 6/7 WIDW I brought him back as an indentured employee of W&H and so foe to Angel's team (I also had Lindsey survive, but that's another matter), but I don't know if I'd do that here, because aside from the rivalry over Fred I don't think the Wesley/Gunn dynamic was strong enough for him to be a particularly resonant enemy in a Gunn-centric series. The others though would have survived to make guest appearances, and Illyria might have been a more meaningful guest role because of her connection to Fred.
