There are the clothes I wear to face the world at work and at play, and then there are the clothes I wear when I’m at home. Home clothes don’t have to be stylish or appropriate or even fit right. They just have to be comfy. I’ve gathered a mish-mash of home wearing bits and pieces over the years - most are dorky and well loved, some have holes or ( Read more... )

Thats why it's safer to just not wear clothes while inside the house.

But don't sweat it! This is the year of new trends. Flaunt your mistake and make those magazine covers :) If mismatching socks is in, the next obvious thing is shoes.

True, but it might make running into my housemate and her significant other about the house rather awkward!

Haha I didn't know mismatched socks were an "in" trend! I've been unintentionally cutting edge for years then :P

I'm pretty sure it was! I remember kids in high school wearing different socks. And even now, kids at my school wear mismatched pairs.

I bet they were just morning dopey like me, and covered better by proclaiming it the latest fashion :)

"and realised I was also wearing two different shoes."

The good news is, when they wear out, you have a 2nd pair just like them.

You would lose that bet :P

Haha your co-worker and I have much in common! Both of my mismatched shoes were black and both were flat, but one was matt and the other glossy and they were different shapes and materials around the foot hole opening bit (I wonder if there is a formal word for the foot hole opening bit?).

Unlike your colleague, I didn't get away with it though - teens can be freakishly perceptive about such things, alas. I made up a convincing lie though to cover for it - I even think some of them bought it! :)
