I have not seen Omega Man but I can guarantee Andy has as that's just his cup of tea. He will stroke when I tell him it's being remade. He complains all the time about how Hollywood keeps remaking things that shouldn't be remade because "there are no new ideas." I'm beginning to think he's right.

I think you hit the nail on the head with Oceans 13. I only saw the first one and had the same sense -- that they were enjoying it more than I was -- and didn't bother with 12. I won't bother with 13 either. Clooney and Pitt et al just don't interest me enough. Thanks for confirming what I already suspected about it!

Actually I liked 11 and 12, they were well paced and funny. This wasn't terrible, but Pacino was chewing scenery like it was buttered popcorn. And Ellen Barkin deserves better. But it was fun watching George and Brad. George doesn't make my heart beat faster, but I think he's a very interesting person and I like his style. Brad surprises me now and then. But, you know YMMV. Did you like the Italian Job, if not, then this won't do it for you either.

I can guarantee Andy has as that's just his cup of tea.
Omega Man was the 2nd movie made from that book, not the first and obviously Will's version is close enough that it triggered the association before they gave me the title or the tag line. Which is impressive as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to go see it.
