House: We actually got two pictures up on the wall. The yard has been composted (so it looks dirty to me). The trees are stabilizing slowly. The boxes that still need unpacking are all either paperwork or trinkets

personally I think everyone should start learning chinese. like now. I'm trying to get a friend of mine to teach me some basic mandarin (you know curse words and the like).

Europeans get amazingly huffy about language. I'm sure you're aware of the vast French cabinet department dedicated to the promotion of the French language. The immense budget that almost every European country spends on cultural subsidies is often justified on the same grounds

You have no idea how bad I have gotten that song stuck in my head. Not only did I have to go out and buy the album, I have also made it my video ringer in my new cell phone. After reading your post I now have the song stuck in my head once more. Weeeee!!!!
