What is your favorite brand for high-quality cotton/cotton-like basic tee shirts/tanks? Price does not matter. I'm just looking to buy some camisoles and tee shirts that will last and last with minimal pilling

I always go with James Perse.

Michael Stars are amazing. The only bad thing is they stretch out in the elbow area really easily.

i've always kind of disliked how michael stars are ALL one-size-fits-all. has that ever been a problem for you?

Well they changed it to one size fits most, but it hasn't really. The only downside is that because of the one size fits most thing, the cotton shirts strech out really easily during the day. Other than that I haven't.

never had a problem with AA, all of the C&C tops I've ever owned have faded in the wash. Vince and James Perse are great too, love the fit.
