[Marie] What have we here?marieindelugeSeptember 30 2006, 17:53:51 UTC
MARIE ENTERS.
Marie, having decided to stay in Haven for at least the next few days before heading off to Boston (no matter what state it was in - okay, besides Massachusetts), decided to take a bike ride and check the place out. Not that Haven seemed to be a huge town, but it was big enough, so she armed herself with a local map and went biking.
She stopped short when she saw the young asian man (and having Ami in town reminded her that he might not be American or even Canadian). She called out to him. "Hello? Zao chen hao? Chao? Ohayo? Sa wat dii kah? Annyong hashimnigga? Nyob zoo?"
Marie tried not to blush as she realized he probably did speak English.
(OOC: I've tried my best to locate phrases for several asian languages - Marie seems to collect a lot of trivia, including phrases, after all - but I apologize to any speakers of any of these languages if she's wrong. Knowing her memory, it's in character for her to mess them up.)
[Syuusuke] Oh, new person!asahi_tsubameOctober 2 2006, 23:56:28 UTC
The woman's age was difficult to decide, Fuji thought, brushing a few strands of hair away from his face as he studied her. She was for real, right? Not a fragment of his imagination due to fatigue and thirst?
"Ohayo", he replied, then continued in English: "How do you do?"
[Marie] Which of us is new?marieindelugeOctober 7 2006, 00:36:14 UTC
"I'm fine," she said, with a bit of relief. Japanese. That was good. Of the asian languages she'd tried, she knew a bit more Japanese than the others, though her vocaublary and sentence structure were a bit limited.
She wondered if she was imagining him. He wasn't bad looking. A bit young, though, like Michelle. Probably half her age and way too young for her. "Hajimemashite. I'm Marie. You?"
[Syuusuke] Maybe we both are...?asahi_tsubameOctober 9 2006, 12:07:29 UTC
Since they were in America, the only polite thing to do would be to keep the conversation in English, he figured, and said with just the faintest bit of accent:
"I'm Fuji Syuu... Uhm... Syuusuke Fuji. I'm fourteen years old, from Tokyo. It's a real pleasure to meet you, Marie-san." He bowed politely, smiling sweetly at her.
"All though I'm pretty certain we could have met during more preferable circumstances, I'm really glad to see you none the less. Where are you going?"

He'd better not be a figment of her imagination.
