My only experience with them comes from ads like these in my dads old Archie comic books. They are incredible.

I like how they have no genitals or subtly hide them via the tail. I'm sure they are an egg laying species though.

got them for my seventh birthday... think you can still buy them in toy stores (it's a small plastic tank and a bunch of little packets in it or something, which include the monkeys and food and stuff). they are really tiny and they don't look like the ones in the pictures. and they don't look like monkeys. also, they kind of suck.
