I don't get people

I received an email forward from a friend today about the upcoming election and referendum.  The basis of this email was basically "vote against MMP."  One of the reasons they provided was this:

This voting system will produce two classes of politicians: those elected by the voters (90 MPP's) and those appointed by the political parties (39 MPP's ( Read more... )

If my friend red_ruby would be on your list, she would jump in to agree with you. So... I'll do it in her place ;) Yeah, I don't get people.

My father had arguments againt MMP, he's voting against, but he at least had some logical arguments. Those you listed are just not worth the bother.

I do have a question for red_ruby, though, and I'll put in on my journal, so you can see her response.

The MMP issue is one of the times where I catch myself forgetting that not everyone shares my common sense. :P

You should talk to your Mom about MMP. She has some really valid points supporting it. She makes a good argument for it.
