saw em at leeds - people were going absolutely MENTAL for them, it was mad.

i think it was reading the tv coverage was from, the crowd were really unresponsive appart from one guy in the front row in the middle. hmm

not that i know first hand obviously, but i think leeds had much better crowds than reading this year. it's not often you see bottling at leeds and there was none this year, but a few bands a reading (panic!atd etc) got bottled. shame eh. people were loving all the smaller bands in the carling and radio 1 tents.. i was really surprised by how crazy people were for gogol bordello, the fratellis, the long blondes and the spinto band. lots of fun :-)

they're insane! i've never seen them live unfortunately but based on their music videos alone they are a party and a half.
the lead singer is in a super great movie called "everything is illuminated." he's fucking HILARIOUS in it--it's definitely worth your time if you haven't seen it!! x

the lead singer has wonderful russian-ukranian accent. I think i have the same when I talk on English.
ps russian words in their songs are crazy!
