No, I just left out a quotation mark with the first link.

Nick, you didn't see why I was pissed about the schedule change either -- something I also addressed in my comment there.

The bottom line is -- and this is the second time I've seen it from TBR -- is they're trying to charge us MORE for LESS.

How does that NOT annoy you?

It has good news, but it's overcast by worse news: They're not giving up the idea, which means they're going to pass it, since there seems to be no opposition to it, just like there was no forcible opposition to the schedule raping.

I think per credit would be good. It's not fair for people who take 12 hours to pay the same as those taking 18. Per hour makes much more sense, too, because as my Spanish professor said, it will eliminate those jerks who sign up for a class just to hold it in case something else doesn't work out (just holding it for the sake of being registered). That way, people will need to think hard about what they really want/need and people who want/need certain things won't be left in the cold.

1. You can't say it's "not fair" because those who pay 12 hours have the same opportunity to sign up for more that those who sign up for 17 have. Just because they may be too busy to do so doesn't make it "unfair" for them -- they just don't qualify for the bonus, and it's unfortunate for them, but that's life ( ... )

I read your whole comment and disagreed wholly. Especially when you called people who take less than 15-18 hours "stupid ( ... )

I never called people who take less than 15-18 hours "stupid."

I'm going to bed.

"Right, so if I want to work hard and take 18 credit-hours each semester, my funding stops after 3 years, while lazy students can take the bare minimum and receive funding for FIVE?
[...]
No kidding. Already a friend of mine had to cut her hours from sixteen to _twelve_ because TELS was going to quit funding her (for the reason cited above -- TELS favors the lazy and stupid.)"

Ridiculous. You just assume those people taking 12 hours are lazy and stupid? Utterly ridiculous.

You're putting words in my mouth.

I never called those who take twelve lazy or stupid -- actually READ what you quoted. I said those who are lazy or stupid can take twelve.

The sentence is not reversible.

I really don't see where you're getting this -- and you're an English major?

I don't mean to be inflammatory, but this is aggravating.
