Mad March has a New York/Brooklyn sort of accent...those people come to vacation at the Jersey Shore but they're not from there. We call them 'Bennies'. Jersey Shore people who are natives sound nothing like that.
There's a lovely crosshatch of people that live between NYC but not quite prime shore area. We get all sorts of abuses with labels.
For #2 you could go with a mystical answer of all mirrors being an option and those were just a little more 'active' in a sense. In a hotel you've got people coming and going, trying to escape something from everyday life.
1. It sounds to me like a Long Island/Staten Island/Brooklyn accent mash-up .. kind of hard to tell with the "robot"-ish sound effects. But I can see where you're coming from with the Jersey accent, too.
I don't know if there is an official answer for #2, but here's one idea:
The White Rabbit wouldn't want Resistance operatives (or a fully-conscious Oyster like Alice) following them back through the mirror into the Looking Glass Hall, where they could potentially steal the ring or damage their fancy equipment.
To prevent that, White Rabbit agents could somehow signal the Looking Glass to create an 'artificial Rabbit Hole' to deposit them elsewhere in the city.
#2 - I thought that the "main" Looking Glass on the Wonderland side was the only doorway to our world, and it could be programmed to lead to any of the Looking Glasses here.
On our side, each Looking Glass (assuming that only certain mirrors actually lead to Wonderland) has a specific corresponding doorway in Wonderland, thus allowing covert operations to enter their world (a la bringing Jack back) in out-of-the-way places, as well as official raiding parties returning to the main Looking Glass.
#2: They didn't have the ring and weren't in control of the Looking Glass. I always figured it spat them out wherever it wanted to without it. Because the second time, with the ring in the little box, Suits were going straight to Looking Glass Station lobby.

But that's just a cheesy hallmark answer.

If that makes sense...
