River's knuckles stung as she gazed at her Doctor… no, not hers. Not yet. "Sorry…" she whispered, unheard.
Two metallic clicks as she handcuffed him to the pipe. Not the most fun they'd had with them.
So unfair. This was their first kiss for him, and he wasn't conscious. She pressed her lips to his. Her last kiss.
His soft skin. The tangled silk of his hair. The musk of his scent. They were what she wanted her last memories to be.
First time for him… last time for her.
Everybody knows that everybody dies.
Today, the Doctor's Song ended.
