Like Long Ago [closed character event]

Who: Kairi [morningtwilight] and Riku [fellfromlight].
Where: Riku's house, and then from there onwards.
When: Friday 29th February, around about 10:30am.
Notes: From here. Basically, they planned an outing with one another.

Riku had been calmly resting in the living room. It didn't help that the heater didn't work throughout the house; as such the only other place of warmth besides his room was the fireplace in the living room. The cold weather made it worse - he didn't have much winter clothing around either. His book had seemed very interesting until he heard someone knocking on his door.

...It must be Kairi.

Getting up immediately to open the door, he found Kairi standing the cold. "Oh, Kairi! Come on in. It's not good to stay out too long in this weather..." Welcoming her in, Riku closed the door behind her. "You could warm up a bit by the fireplace - it's strong enough."

"Riku." Kairi smiled broadly as Riku opened the door, her hands having retreated into the pockets of her coat in a vain attempt to keep warm. "Oh, I'm not that co- c-" she sneezed, immediately dispproving her point, and she blushed lightly. "Heh, maybe it is," she said hastily, ushering herself inside. "Wow, you've been busy, huh? You've really cleaned this place up..."

"I don't think you don't feel the cold." Riku smirked, letting Kairi sit down on the sofa while he went inside the house to grab a blanket and some hot drinks. "Well, I did spend much of my time away, so I guess I'd have to spend at least some time cleaning up the place that was my home...Here, have a drink first." Riku passed a vaguely familiar pink mug and the blanket to Kairi, before warming himself with his own blue cup.

"So, what's up for now?"

Sitting down on the sofa she hugged her knees, rubbing her hands together to try to cause some stir of heat in them. "I suppose so. It's still impressive- ah, thanks," as Riku brought her the blanket, she covered her knees with it, huddling into it slightly as she took the cup off of him. "I'm alright. Not sure what to do today or anything, though," she said guiltily, briefly staring down into the mug.
