I woke up because I thought the house was shaking and I could hear popping sounds from joints in the house frame. I actually got up trying to find out what in the world was going on but by that time it had stopped. I decided I had imagined the whole thing (I often wake up thinking strange things) and went back to sleep. Forgot about it until I saw it on the news a while ago.

Yes... it's very disorienting to wake up to that. I had no idea what it was until it was over, too.

Holy crap that's strange. I heard about it on CNN this morning and I emailed one of my friends from Evansville to see if everyone was OK. It sounds like everyone was pretty much OK out there, though.

BTW...I'm gonna be up in Missouri for a burn event in a few weeks. Some of the group I'll be camping with is heading out to St. Louis after the event. Are you still up there? Jen told me you might be moving back to Chi-town, but I could have that confused with a visit you made instead. :)
