[RL - Jordan's veggie visit]

Upon finishing his last response to Jordan, Aang eagerly set up a nice table in the large courtyard of Zuko's old summer home. Cushions were placed around it for anyone joining in to sit on. The Avatar (the little one of course) was already seated on one with an excited smile on his face. It had been far too long since he had seen his good friend, ( Read more... )

Jordan managed to find his way easily enough (though he had to be careful not to teleport in the middle of Fire Nation territory). He was dressed in his Avatar robes, but with a slightly different palate: crimson instead of purple. Jordan always enjoyed wearing different outfits. Besides, he didn't want to stand out too much.

Gripped in each hand was a huge wicker picnic basket filled with all a manner of goodies to share with his friends. He walked up the path that lead from the beach to the stunning mansion that served as Zuko's summer home.

Jordan whistled low and long. "Nice. Guess being a Prince has its perks after all, huh?"

Toph had been about to go down to the beach for a little more training when she heard Jordan talk.

"The only thing that matters is that it gives us a safe place to stay where we won't get caught and it's still in the Fire Nation," she said as she dropped down on the ground, ignoring the pre-placed cushions lying around. "How've you been Jordan, it's been a while since we all caught up."

"Oh, you know, same old, same old. Doing my Avatar thing, trying to avert an all out war that could very well tear the galaxy apart." His tone was light, which belied the seriousness of his words. "Anyway, hope you guys are hungry because I've brought a veritable feast!"

He dropped the heavy picnic baskets to the floor. A few apples and a pear bounced out and rolled along the floor. Jordan laughed a bit nervously. Well, you couldn't bring too much food, right?

Aang's mood brightened when Toph joined. However, this turned out to be short-lived at his next thought; Now we just need the others to come too. An unfortunate "Oh yeah..." reaction hit him then as he remembered the original reason why he had been talking to Jordan about their get-together: Mai's disappearance.

He became downcast then, waiting unto Jordan and Toph had finished their exchange before bringing up what had come to mind. As much as Aang hated to ruin the positive atmosphere, he still wanted to make sure she was okay. "Guys, I...I'm sorry, but we can't forget about Mai. Do you think we should look for her?"
