Liir went to Andrew's room.
He didn't want to go back to his room. It would no doubt be just as empty, as Evey was probably with Karal--
He wished he could think that without a tinge of envy and irritation, but no matter how he reminded himself that Karal was family and that Evey was his roommate, that there was nothing but a quirk of fate which had left him (again) without Andrew's smile and Andrew's voice and the warmth of Andrew's body wrapped around him in sleep...
No. He still wasn't thinking good, charitable thoughts about either of them and he didn't know what to do about it but for the moment, he was finding the most possible peace wrapped up in Andrew's bed, with his nose in Andrew's pillow that still smelled a little like him. His nerves, normal and supernormal all the same, were still raw from the experience at the asylum and here, right at the surface, were familiar voices and scents and sensations. They were almost good enough to brighten his mood.
Almost good enough.
Either way, good mood or bad, he would wait. He would wait as long as he had to.
