We've had a few interesting post-canon twists (Canon Gay Dumbledore being the greatest). I'd like a source for this one, please, before I take it seriously; first because I'm a rabid Hannah shipper and I'm working on an HP crossover that features the Leaky Cauldron, so I might want to put her in, and second because it completely torpedoes my Ernie/Hannah WIP, which I will henceforth discontinue if Neville/Hannah really is canon.

I've had an idea for how to continue it, but it will mean reworking the ending of what I've already written. I'm very much a canon-compatible or canon-non-contradictory ficcer.

It's not a pairing I would personally have considered, though I know others have done stuff with it. (I almost got it right :-p - I used to ship Harry/Hannah.)
