[The PCD flickers on, starts recording. Yuca doesn't notice it at first (no, he's not dead, sorry). He's kneeling on one knee, using both his hands to pull, hard, at an annoying patch of crab grass. Or fully. [He bats a hand carelessly.]
Whichever.
Fires have minds of their own and can't be told to behave once they're set.

Oh, Izuna, you unflappable crazy mofo, only you can look at the gravity of the situation and correct Yuca on the handling of the situation. ♥]

Or at least, Izuna tends to. Its very difficult to take a story like this seriously when held parallel to his own temper and how he'd have handled it (which would be about as graciously as one can handle something with a fistfull of fire and anger management.)
Even an immortal should value his time more than this. What a waste of effort. Raze the earth so nothing will grow there again! Or at least exact some revenge to get a payback on the waste.

He was supposed to protect her.
She woke up, and his father, his father... had left, just in time for her to realize... she had no more memory of her most important day with him. Her life, her love, her pain. She had been crying. Trisha had never, ever let her boys see her cry. She had always been strong.
For that loss, she had cried.
It was Al's fault, because he had trusted Yuca enough to give him a second chance. It was made worse by the fact that she would never blame him.
Yuca could hurt again. He could kill again. ... he had left him alive (it was the right choice, he'd seen it in Ed's eyes) and now, he had to know.]
