Fanfiction time! When Steph met Jack and Dana!

So, it was a snow day today, and I've been reading Robin to mom, and being reminded of the happy fun times of the good ol' days. I also remembered boywonderiii and myself discussing that one of us should do a fic about the first time Tim took Steph to meet Jack and Dana, since they skipped over that in the comics.

In a good mood today, and I wanted to forget ( Read more... )

Oh, Tim. You're such a geek. <3 Tim.

And Steph came across really well here! I was running my hands through my hair because I felt so stressed out for her. No Steph, don't get blood on your dress!

“You're sweet. But let's face it, Robin. We're vigilantes who get shot at every night. Something's GOING to happen to us no matter how careful we are. Might as well have some fun while we're at it.”

See, that, right there, is why Steph is one of my favourite characters. It's a lot more sensible than being broody all the time, like everyone else in Gotham...

Rereading Robin reinforced his dickishness for me. Somewhat understandable, as he lost his wife and his son is always randomly dissapearing, but he's SO pretentious (where Tim gets it, likely).

And Steph mentioned being really annoyed with him for his depression in canon, so...

Seriously, what was it with people rushing to the WINDOWS when gunshots went off?

Now that's a good question.

Tim ate like a bird, naturally.

Hee!

This was a sweet fic, and nicely shows some of the differences between Tim and Steph, but how they can work well together as a couple and crime-fighting duo. You also got Jack Drake and Dana very well, with Jack being slightly judge-y but nice overall, and Dana being all friendly and welcoming.
