I would have posted it sooner, but LJ had a "Varnish Error" that wouldn't let me log in, so I had initially planned to leave it at FF.net and AO3 and wait for today, but then I tried again and it worked ( ... )

I love this idea, of Clint still being influenced by Loki, because I just didn't buy the idea of the 'cognitive recalibration' - wth, a knock to the head erases magic? Since when?

Though I once read a fic which went along with that idea, assuming that Loki was being controlled the same way by Thanos, so after the epic smashing by Hulk at the end of Avengers, Loki was freed from the scepter's control too.

I love that Clint means more to Loki than just a mindless slave ('my heart' *dreamy sigh*). And you wrote actual, explicit slash!

Thank you! :) Oh, I know! You wouldn't believe how much I was bothered by Natasha's 'stroke of genius' to slap Clint around a little and him coming back to his senses so easily! That irked me so damn much! My head-canon Loki is certainly more competent when it comes to mind-control - I mean, he used magic, he didn't just hypnotize Clint or anything *grumble grumble*

I'm not sure where I read it, but I remember something along those lines. You can not see it very well in the movie, but Loki's eyes have the same sheen as Clint's sometimes, which seems to imply that he was just as much Thanos puppets than Clint was his.

LOL Yes, I did and I didn't even turn red like a rotten tomato while doing it XD In fact, for my first real slash scene, I'm quite happy with it. Granted, it's 'only' a blowjob, but... I can work my way up from there...? ^.^"

Sorry for the late reply, in the last days I never quite managed to work to the bottom of my inbox ^-^"

Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed this one - though I wish I knew what I did right with "Kingdom" to make it special in your eyes so that I could do it again ^-^" The whole foreshadowing worked well, which is good, but it wasn't even a conscious decision to write it like that; this was one of those FFs where I had nothing planned in advance.

Well, I'm currently working on the next Clint & Loki FF - I'm on a roll :)

So in other words, your head-canon and mine coincided in this instance, with Clint being forced to acknowledge his 'dark side', so to speak, which he wouldn't have done without being mind controlled.

...guess you won't like my next one then XD LOL I can't help myself, there's so much depressing Clint/Loki non-con, dub-con etc. out there that it makes me want to write more happy stuff for them... Well, not that my next FF is very happy... ^-^"

Hm, really? I was pretty much despairing how I had to struggle with each word and sentence and constantly had to re-write until this one didn't resemble much of what little I had initially planned.

It makes sense, and never worry: I always appreciate concrit, so thank you! As a matter of fact, I'm sad how hard a commodity that is to come by ^-^" People on LJ seem far more comfortable with giving praise or keeping silent than to say what they don't like.
