I know neither of these fandoms (I'm only a teensy bit more familiar with TW than TVD) but that doesn't stop me from reading and enjoying this. I like the small details here and there which clue me in on stuff I wouldn't have known, like werewolf bites being fatal to vampires, Damian's tenous relationship with his brother etc.

I love the push-and-pull of their interactions here, which really highlight each of their personalities and show how well they fit together, with that sense of ease and comfort in their relationship. And both of them are really broody in their own ways... XD

You may yet convince me to watch TVD ;)Congrats on completing your first crossover!

I'm glad you gave it a try! :) And I'm happy to hear that one can understand the gist of it - though the FF is not exactly story heavy in general ^.^" - even without canon knowledge. I wanted to drop some information here and there and Derek's broodiness made it very easy for me - I can totally picture him picking his life apart in the afterglow, even in canon LOL

Ooh, that's interesting, that the vamps can just 'switch off' like that. Won't that mean that after feeding (I assume they HAVE to feed on humans, not like the vamps in Buffy who can survive on animal blood?) on people and killing them, if they ever 'switch on' their humanity again, they'll experience crippling guilt?

Tbh, the babysitter/ward thought occurred to me, but there's really too little info given about the circumstances of their first meeting, so the thought was very fleeting and I didn't feel even close to being squicked.

What I like about TVD is the fact that it is very easy to see Damon and Stefan through a good/bad guy filter, until the show gives us an interesting twist... Still, the one (a bit) negative aspect of TVD is that the morality of the characters is very much "Elena-centric
