Ugh. I realize I'm a child, okay. It's Monday. I'm grumpy. My cortex is a few months away from being fully myelinated. And I've got a day's full of mindless data entry work ahead of me, which brings it home how very badly I cope with the banal ( Read more... )

I understand this well, I believe. I love Boulder. I love it dearly. I miss it often. I love visiting. I'm still really glad I left, because every day I felt stifled and trapped and knew there was nothing there for me to learn. I might consider moving back someday, but if I did it'd only be if I were sure there were new things waiting for me.

It is a paradise, as places go. But it's hard to grow up in a paradise.

Go free, girl.

Thanks. :)

You're actually quite an inspiration to me, you know?

Huh, what, fuck? I'm not allowed to be an inspiration, I'm clueless and unemployed!

But flattered. Thank you. =)

Hey! Are you online right now?

Regardless of the "validity" of the position it comes from, your advice seems right as usual.

I think different 'people' write in this journal at different times... Some of them are hella angsty, but we figure they'll grow out of it. :) We like the way they put words together sometimes though; that's a saving grace.

(And I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with sex being understood as a commodity, just so long as that definition is explicit and consented to by all involved at the time. Prostitution not being legal is fucking stupid.)

Further content might follow when I'm not busy kicking ass at work, but ... y'know, this really covers it:

Miss you. Love you. Can't wait to see you.

Will you be back in time for Soup Day?

Yeah, so like, I miss you too (echoing Matthew's sentiment). I miss Rebecca. I haven't really 'spoken' to you about anything really since New York, and have been doing the 'been meaning to' thing. Regardless, I just enjoy being around you a lot, as I have said before, e.g. when we first met. Why? because, I'm not sure why. I have always cared for you naturally and without a desire for explication. I don't even think I'm all that much fun when I am around you; I'm kinda quiet and weird.

I'm sure I won't be like this forever. It's the medium.

As for this Friday, I have to work and so I can't. This Wednesday though, I am going to try to get out of work early and make it to Soup Day for a bit. Have fun 'dancing' to the good music.

That pizza is the shit? 'Cause I echo that sentiment too.

Nah. I miss you too. We'll have to figure out some way to coordinate our terminally impenetrable schedules, because I definitely need some good Just Jackie time before I go. As for reasons behind our resonance, I don't think the lack of explanation detracts any from mutual appreciation. (And I'm recently into rhyming and alliteration. What's up with that?)

And you know, "Jackie, Quiet and Weird" is one of the Jackies I like best. I also ♥ that you just used both a semi-colon and the word "kinda" in the same sentence. :)

So we will hang. And 'speak'. If not Wednesday, then soon.
