I really liked this. Ronon had a great perspective as an outsider. I loved his willingness to speak up and tell Sheppard what he thought. It just all felt right.
God, I like this. Ronon is pretty monosyllabic in canon (at least, until Sateda), but I can hear him having these thoughts, and making that little speech to Sheppard. Very nice work!
I actually wrote this before Sateda aired, so anything that happened in there isn't dealt with at all in my story. He certainly was pretty talkative in Sateda though.
Thanks so much! I love outsider POV. They tend to see things things the way they really are, instead of the characters involved, who sometimes get so wrapped up that they can't see the forest for the trees.
Luckily we all know that it resolved itself! I was always sorry that John's post-Trinity reaction wasn't explored in more detail. He always had such faith in Rodney, not to mention the fact Rodney is one of the very few people in his life that he's let in. Trinity was such a huge personal betrayal that he couldn't even step back enough to remember that everybody makes mistakes - even Rodney.
