I think this came from surfing around Yuletide fics, and the thought of Greek Mythology being a subcategory just amused me. Then I saw someone's wishlist which included "something from Persephone's perspective" (or something like that) which managed to spark this. And after one writing session, I closed the document and never opened it again,

omg *_* Persephone's perspective is so totally new and asjdklfaf it makes me happy to see this written. with so much angst &hearts I have always wondered what characters in the myths are actually feeling.

haha, it's perfectly okay. I know what you mean about the fandom, and sometimes I find it nice to see what other interests people in the fandom have, other than just JE.

Greek mythology is wonderfully intriguing ;) you should write more spin-offs like this one, lol, though it seems like you wrote it as a spur-of-the-moment thing. I'd really enjoy them &hearts

Greek mythology was the original soap opera, except I like it so much more than any soap.

i think this stands alone just where you left it, to be honest. and i love the premise of time as a sort of metaphor for life and living--which is even ironic since gods (was persephone a demi-god? now i forget...) practically live outside of time since they're ageless and deathless.

what are your feelings on poetry? there were two books i read for my poetry class last year that touched upon this subject, and were two of the poetry books i actually didn't hate. (i was actually talking to nikki late that night, i think, that i was writing a paper on both of these books and she was writing on something else. it was the first and only poetry paper i got a solid A on, i think. XD)

Really? I feel like it's kind of all over the place. Also, I remember wanting to create this feel of almost seduction in the style that I was using, and it just wasn't/isn't coming out right. But, it's also entirely possible I overthink things just a bit, but if anyone asks, I'll deny ever admitting it. ;-)

Persephone was...I'm pretty sure she was full god, but she definitely wasn't one of the big 12. Ok, now you have me curious, so I have to go check it out...

My feelings on poetry. I guess they're kind of like my feelings on art: I can tell you if I like it or if I don't like it, but I'm not always/usually able to tell you why I like it. So I'm up for reading poetry, but I'm not sure I could tell you specifically what kind of poetry I like. Some of the most famous poems I can't stand like "Song of Myself" from Walt Whitman. I HATED SONG OF MYSELF SO MUCH. it didn't help that we had this cheap dover thrift edition where all the paragraphs were like JUMBLED TOGETHER. but uhm, let me see. the first book was mother love by rita dove. and averno by louise gluck (who actually came to my college last year to read). taken in small doses, and they're pretty good stuff. just--as long you don't have to try and explicate them or anything. XD

speaking of greek myths! yesterday i happened to catch an episode of valentine on the cw, which is all about the greek gods/godesses and seems pretty cute.

I don't know how to respond to you! So many ways to comment, so little time. On the one hand, I want to just say chigau yo! and leave it at that. But on the other hand, I did kind of like this idea, I'm just dissatisfied with how it all came out. So I'm glad you liked what's there, but it just needs so much more finesse! Which I seem to be lacking.

Ok, now I will stop whining and waffling and go for the third option of just cackling back at you in an eeeeeevil way. };-)
