Art in Writing

I have a theory about art, ideas, and expression in writing. Almost everyone has heard the phrases "fleshing out a story" and "it has no plot; it's only bones!" and "what a dry read!" What I did was take those and run with them.

The bones are the ideas, what makes a story important. For example, the ideas behind a story might be "hope" and "growth" ( Read more... )

and i'm a writing snob too. (as we talked about today.) =D

we need to print this out and show it to the girls in book club, not telling them that it was you who wrote it. maybe they might appreciate a good-read more thoroughly.

(and, once we're famous, best-selling authors, we should collab a book about the dynamics of writing. ;D)

WE SHOULD. (On both counts.)

It's funny how we totally disregard our own rules of grammar online/in notes, but, then again, we totally hafta fit the teenage cliche of "voice" and "grammatically incorrect self-expression," right? ^_^ Because everyone knows teenage writer chicks (*cough*Ashes-chan, Rin-chan, and self*cough*) rock.
