Renee was back. Renee's ex didn't die. Good weekend all the way around.

Back in Fandom. Which was starting to feel like home. Maybe that was an okay kinda thing.

Faith was cleaning out her fridge. Kinda wondering at when she got all domestic. Fandom had a crazy effect on people.

After fighting with Sam about her awesome tape idea, Dawn decided she needed to be with someone who wasn't a cootiehead with girly hair.

Before it got tooooooo dark (since she wasn't allowed out after dark), she went directly to Faith's apartment (by way of J,GoB, so she was a little chocolate-smeared) and knocked on the door.

Faith swung the door open and stared, for a few seconds.

"Hi, kiddo," she said, smiling. "You ... lost or something?"

Holy crap, that kid almost looked like ...

"Faith! FaithFaithFaithFaithFaith! Hi!" She went to hug Faith around the knees. "I didn't come see you yesterday because I got all 'stracted, but I woke up next to pukey Sam, got to go on a pony ride, and helped Luke fly! Then Mel and I slayed vampire dust bunnies, but not outside, 'cuz we're not allowed to go out when it's dark out, and I didn't really slay, 'cuz I was busy watchin', and then we had lots of pickles and we fell asleep in the lobby."

Dawn grinned up at Faith. "Did'ja miss me?"

There was a tiny hyper kidlet wrapped around her knees, talking at her a mile a minute, and Faith found herself laughing and reaching down to scoop the kid up.

Sam, Luke, Mel, vampire dust bunnies?

"Dawnie?!" she laughed.
