Nimueh's assumption about Gwen is quite true: she comes here almost every day, taking the long way back home in order to take this detour. She doesn't tell Morgana or the others what she's doing, though. That would just worry them unnecessarily, and Morgana was sorry as it was.

There's a woman standing by the fountain and Gwen greets her with a customary small smile before moving to look into the waters.

Perfect. She had been afraid that her conversation with Peter would cause her to miss the girl. Another day is nothing to wait in the greater scheme of things, but Nimueh has delayed her revenge long enough. She wants to put her plans in motion.

"Searching for a loved one?" Nimueh asks, her voice all sweetness and sympathy as she makes circles in the water.

"My father, actually." Her answer is not at all sharp but it's not as open as it might be, mostly because she's still a little bit unwilling to talk about it. Gwen looks down into the waters and sees her father working at his forge, talking to the neighbors in the village and generally going about his daily routine. It puts a smile on her face.

Nimueh nods with apparent understanding. "You miss him very much, don't you?" she asks, although it's not really a question. "The fountain is reassuring, but it's not enough, not really."

She leans closer. "Would you like to talk to him?"
