1) Podfic.
susan_voight recorded a podfic of Team the Best Team (my Elementary OT3 fic)! It is here and it is excellent. I should have mentioned it foreeeeveer ago, but my memory is full of potholes. Definitely check this one out, I love susan_voight's delivery.

I had forgotten about the story my remixer chose too! It was actually quite fun to read it again and then read the remix. They went very well together and made me think about a part of the show I hadn't in a long time, and very warmly too. Very satisfying experience.

I am super amused that you now know of baseball, but not how baseball is played. :D

I think it makes sense that these are the kinds of stories that get remixed - it's a lot easier to play with a short fic that someone scribbled up and then forgot about, rather than a long fic that someone agonized over until there's absolutely no cracks left. But I agree, it's pretty great, because this way I feel like I'm getting to read two fics instead of just one!

My dad tried to explain the rules of baseball over the phone to me today, but we only got as far as homeruns, nine innings, and how the home team can just be done if they get to the ninth inning and they're still ahead. I think? I got confused on this part. But I'm pretty sure there won't be a quiz, or anything.

Yes, I remixed some drabbles - definitely easier. Although the very first remix I ever did years ago, I took a like 25,000 word story and made it 1500 words, haha. This story that was remixed for me this year was a pinch hit I did for a ficathon - so, it's fully formed but definitely not fully mined.

Enjoy the game! Just cheer when everyone else cheers and have a beer. It'll be great. :D

I had TONS of fun at the ball game and will make a proper post about it soon. I totally followed your advice, though! Awkward clapping and a beer before the game definitely carried me through.
