This is for my Asexual character prompting deal, except I decided I'd rather make separate posts for anything that comes out of it. It makes my life marginally easier not to break things up into tiny comments.

OH QUARK. OH ODO. So much love for this entire thing. (Also, Odo+CSI - yes to infinity. I WANT THIS TO BE CANON NOW. XD)

:D I feel like Odo would either get SUPER into CSI, or he would just nitpick it to death. I guess the CSI science/investigation isn't any sketchier than DS9 science/investigation, though...

Oh, he'd totally nitpick it to death... but he would LOVE nitpicking it to death. He'd mock all the forensics-babble and scare the holo-suspects stiff, and ignore due process completely, and seep under locked doors and into suspects' handbags and generally take all sorts of shortcuts the filmmakers never intended so as to solve the mystery more effectively. XD

(Yes, I keep re-reading this. Because it is AWESOME.)

(Also, it sort of reads - in a very canonical way - as if Quark might have set the whole thing up from the start to get those old CSI tapes off his hands... or maybe not... and either way you'll never prove it. *g* SO MUCH LOVE FOR THE BOTH OF THEM.)

Rereading yay :D I really like the idea of Odo cheating his way through a holodrama, he totally would. Dax would be like "Odo, that's not the point," but Odo is more interested in the solution than all the dramas.

I think in my backstory for this fic, this is all part of a long involved plan where Quark is distracting Odo while Rom totally gets away with something somewhere else. But this is a plan of many prongs - Quark also needed to do something with those CSI tapes, you know.
