Let it not be a surprise that I never get around to posting as often as I think I will.

A post about Germany, cut for length and pictures. )

I am with the Die Linke, too. We are generally nice people, if a bit socialist ;) But what are you going to do in a country where the Green Party has conservative tendencies...

Also, now I know that you're either in Rheinlandpfalz or Baden-Württemberg because that's where the votes happened.

Haha, everybody I've met from Die Linke has been nice so far! Although many of them were also being unhappy about not making it to 5%, so not very talkative. My friend Patrick was convinced they were going to make it this time.

I could just tell you where I am, it's not a big deal. Or I could keep putting hints in random comments and posts. It kind of depends on how much work you want to do.

Since I'm crap with German geography and general knowledge about my country (I haven't been in ANY important city like Berlin or Munich or Hamburg, even though I've been to nearly every other Western European capital), I would probably never guess where you are. So you can tell me, although there's still some possibility that I've got no idea where that is ;)

Good, because as I also know nothing about German geography, my clues were probably going to boil down to 'lots of people bike here' or things about the bus line and it would have been really weird and confusing.

I'm studying at the Universitaet Tuebingen, which is in the south, pretty close to Stuttgart. Tuebingen's basically a very laid-back university town - I thought it was pretty large when I got here, but then I realized that if you're actually awake and not trying to walk everywhere it's more of a reasonable size.
