Who: Fujin & Squall.
What: Talking. Or more like an ellipses war, probably. Squall just wants some answers.
When: A little while after this.
Where: In the hotel.
Warnings: Probably none.

Thanks to Kuja, Squall meandered back to the hotel in one piece and made good on the promise to sleep the rest of his weary state off. )

Fujin blinked at her name, looking up.

Leonhart...

They hadn't spoken, really, since she had arrived. Seifer had told her he was here, but other than a few glimpses of the brunette and hearing his voice a few times on the communication device, she hadn't heard from him. She hadn't been bothered enough to contact him either - what was the point?

Her usual impassive expression didn't change, but she stopped, observing the man for a long moment before tilting her head slightly to one side.

"NEGATIVE."

Good. Now what? How did one just start a conversation like that? Given the fact that very few people came from the same time frame if they were even from the same world, Squall wasn't sure how to go about explaining that if Seifer hadn't already. Of course, he also assumed Fujin was from the future, like Seifer.

...And it occurred to him that he was merely standing there, staring at her with a deeply thoughtful frown.

"Would you be willing to talk?" He paused. "About our world. I need answers."

Squall stopped in front of her once she answered, and she waited.

Hello?

Her one eye narrowed slightly, perplexed, when it took him a while to finally speak after frowning at her for a while.

When he did, her eyebrow raised slightly. Did he not know...?

Ah... Seifer had probably just not told him to be difficult. She smiled fondly to herself, though her outward expression remained unchanged.

She tilted her head, regarding the warrior for a long moment.

She owed him, after all...

Of the two members of Seifer's posse that had to get drug here, it had to be the one that liked talking even less than Squall did. He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Look. I don't know how much you know about this place, but time... it's messed up, here. I don't know when you were taken, but I came from a time before anyone even knew who Ultimecia was," he began; she could probably figure out he'd been left in the dark when he asked. "But a week or two ago, I had these dreams. They synced up with everything I did manage to find out, but they don't tell me enough."

He stopped, his expression becoming more grave, more urgent. Not quite pleading, but close. He's been slowly losing his mind, being here.

"It's a lot to ask. I won't pretend it isn't. But you're the only chance I've had to get answers, and I need your help."
