The calculations for the Heartless will need to be reworked, he wrote in his log. It seems that the current calculations only produce Soldiers, and I am in need of more... powerful creatures to harvest the hearts of this town if Kingdom Hearts is to be re-created.

He set the pen down and sighed. It was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the world, and the sudden onslaught of non-Heartless had proven more trying than he had hoped. Eventually, he would need to speak with Saix, Xigbar, and Xaldin about this - at this time, they were the only ones he could count on loyalty from - but not yet.

With Ansem lurking the Corridors, there was not much time for him to speak with them. He had not even greeted Xaldin, instead favoring his time in pursuit of keeping a close eye on his Heartless.

He stood up and entered the hallway, closing the door to his private quarters behind him.

Saix had just reached the top of the stairs at the second floor landing when he spotted Xemnas in the hallway. Well, that was surprisingly painless.

"Xemnas," he called out, announcing his presence as he started towards the other Nobody, "a moment of your time?"

Xemnas raised an eyebrow. "I was not expecting you, Saix."

Perhaps, he thought, walking through the hallway to meet his second in command, there is something of importance he must speak with me about. After, the Diviner never appeared unannounced.

"Follow me."

Of course. It would have been proper for Saix to have said something ahead of time and in that he had slipped. He supposed he could have blamed it for how out of sorts the last handful of days had left him but... the truth was that he hadn't wanted to wait.

He nodded to Xemnas and fell into step next to him, following as ordered. "Forgive me if I've intruded. I'd hoped to find you unoccupied."
