It probably looks really impressive to their onlookers - the way Chuck’s head snaps back with the punch. How it takes him to the floor. )

So sweet and then you broke my heart at the end.

Twice.

Nicely done!

Oh, that last line. Of course I knew it was coming, the only way their story ended... but. *weeps*

Kickass!Bryce is awesome. I really want to go rewatch that episode where they find him again.

(Did you mess up the italics?)

I did mess up the italics, thanks :p And thank you for reading this and commenting! I'm glad you liked it :) Chuck and Bryce's story is so tragic! I keep wanting to fix it but the angst seeps right back in :p And it's funny because I think I get more worked up thinking about it, and Bryce's death, now than I did when Bryce died. I hadn't seen much of the show then and didn't know much about Bryce...

But then, I ama huge dork :p I've never seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre because I hate that kind of movie, but I've seen clips of Matthew Bomer's part in it and those made me want to cry! The more I see of Neal the more I hate to see Matthew Bomer, in any incarnation, suffer :p

Back when I first started getting into Matt Bomer, I looked up Texas Chainsaw Massacre on wikipedia and decided that, no, I really didn't want to watch it.

Scenes of the movie were used in a White Collar fanvid and I watched it since I knew the vid would have a happy, AU ending, but if I had seen those scenes in a movie where his character died after even more terrible things happening to him... Uh uh. I couldn't even watch all of Wax House back in the day because of the scene where Jared Padalecki is bound and covered in hot wax.

... Okay, so I will now cheerfully pretend that last line didn't happen (the angst was thick enough already, all right, and Bryce was being 'really sexy', indeed, and yay for Chuck having that little mindslip).

Loved Bryce seeking a conforntation for Chuck getting insulted, and then Chuck taking the punch meant for Bryce, and Bryce - YES. THAT, PLEASE. Um. Snuggles are fine, too. I love snuggles. But also, y'know, people punching other people for punching their almost boyfriend.

This review so makes me smile :D Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it. There's something about the thought of Chuck stepping in for Bryce that's just really striking, right? Bryce may not need to be protected generally, but he so deserves someone to want to protect him!

As for the angst... Yeah, I couldn't resist this time :p But now I so want to write/read a fic in which things after Stanford play out diferrently not because Bryce did something differently but because Chuck fought harder to get to the bottom of why Bryce betrayed him.

I love your reviews! :D Thank you so much for them! Getting these really made me smile! Hee hee :p And I'm sorry for the angst, but I can't say I'm discouraged from writing more, getting great praise like this :D I guess I'll just have to try writing some fluff to balance it out :)

I always believed he had a very mother hen-ish, protective personality

He does, doesn't he! It shows more and more over the years as he gains confidence and ability. I can't remember how much of the show you've seen... Did you watch any of seasons 3 or 4? I think Chuck vs. the Tic-Tac and Chuck vs. the Anniversary are both great protective!Chuck episodes :)

This prompt was perfect :) Even if you don't get around to comment_fic, feel free to drop in here with a Chuck/Bryce prompt any time :) Or check out chuck_anonkink. I'm aiming at filling all of the unfilled prompts that are over there :D
