Damon took him outside a speakeasie in Boston almost a century ago - sex first, watching streetlight shine off the pale arch of his throat, the dark, damp curls of his hair, as Damon put one of those super-human qualities of theirs (namely, the lack of a need to breathe) to use in giving him the best blowjob of his life ( ... )

Twenties, huh? I bet they'll really like Weimar. And maybe it'll fix the blood art problem a little if the art wasn't stolen, Neil was just waiting for the paint to dry after he finished it.

Blood art? What do you mean?

OK, bearing in mind that I'm going by what I've seen in comments, and I don't watch the show, some people feel that the art should have been returned to the people the Nazis stole it from.

Ah, yes. What did you mean about his just waiting for the paint to dry, then?

Anyways, you calling the paintings "blood art" gave me an idea I'll need to incorporate into some part of this :)

Whoof! I didn't even think of it in the, well, actual blood context. What I was thinking is that Neal painted them himself--is he an art forger too? One of my favorite books is Robertson Davies' "What's Bred in the Bone" which is about art forgery.

It would really serve Damon right is Neal manipulated him into turning him so Neal could, so to speak, work the REALLY long con.

Yes, his specialty is forging, though he's really artistic himself. Popular fanon is that he's painted a lot of his own stuff but under a fake name. There were mostly big names on that boat (Degas, Picasso, Dali) It would be really awesome if something of Neal's own was on there :) And - ooh - I kinda wish I'd taken the Neal-asked-for-it approach to his turning. That's perfect :)

Actually asking would probably garner a big No, but if Damon can feel like the villainous creature of the night and Neal can how how much he played him, they'd both get what they want.

I wrote another part - this one went long so I put it in a post of its own here.
