Oof and wow! Powerful stuff. Like a punch to the gut - sudden, attention getting, and something to remember for a long time. Although, in a good way. The quote you used and how you wove a story around it was very fitting.

Especialy if you think of the quote that also works with the words battle and war - 'you can win the battle and still lose the way.' Or something along those lines.

Either way, gorgeous comment fic.
