very nice way to start the day. Makes me want to go out and take guitar lessons so I can do that too.

I owned a guitar for years and years and because of military obligations, never had the time to devote to learning how to play. About a year and a half ago, I was determined to bang my head against that guitar until the notes came out... I learned quite a bit from grabbing youtube. Heck, you learn the chords Em,G,C, and D, and you've got most of contemporary pop covered.

I say, "Dooo eeeettt!" ;)

Honestly, I never thought of using YouTube. But that makes sense. I may just give that a try, then. In my copious free time, of course.

With the exception of an occasional really, really specific or obscure instrument, youtube has lessons for just about everything. As far as the copious amounts of free time... I've been there. I can relate. For most of the folks I know, it's not a matter of talent or intelligence, just a lack of time to be able to devote to something.
