Like the boondockers we were issued in bootcamp! Except shinier. And better made. And, you know, something that real people would wear.

I do have a pattern for boondockers though...

...but that's certainly the same material they made coraframs out of for sure. I wanted to see how well patent plays on the shoe last--- surprisingly it played very well.

Really? I always thought corframs were some kind of synthetic material and not leather at all. They certainly don't breathe like leather. Wow. I learn something new every day.

I stand corrected---I seem to recall the patent leather beasts sold by the Bates company (still sold) to the AAFES and NEX being referred to commonly as corframs.
