I might tl;dr edit this post a bit more later TOO LATE, but this thought just occurred to me since I was trawling for TWEWY stuff, and it's cleared up a lot about why I like Neku, as a character.

YES. THIS. This is the reason I loved playing through the entirety of TWEWY, multiple times, instead of just putting it down and never touching it again- because he may be an asshole in the beginning and all, something that would normally instantly turn me off and make me not care in the slightest, but he's totally okay with being an asshole. And no matter how much he changes, he's still always himself. Which makes me love him, instead of just wanting to smack him~

Nah- I do love Neku, but... I wouldn't smack Josh. He is also an asshole... but he's still my favorite.

I said I would talk about that on that talking meme thing though, amirite? That one from, like, September? Which I swear I will do one of these days!! Really... I just need... the time to do it. But I WILL do it!!
