Date: August 11th, 1999
Setting: Tadfield Manor, Bar
Status: Private - Gabriel and Belial
Summary: Gabriel is looking for Michael, but instead finds something rather unexpected.
‘An archangel walks into a bar…’
It sounded like the beginning of one of those jokes Raphael was always giggling over.
Gabriel sighed to himself from the doorway, glancing around the room with an indifferent expression. He’d never really been fond of Earth, he thought, not like some of the other angels were. And he’d never gotten used to having a human form.
The place seemed cramped and dingy as he entered - although, to be fair, every place has bad lighting compared to Heaven. Michael had to be around somewhere, but since he’d entered the place, the archangel’s aura had been obscured by several other beings that seemed to have gravitated to this place as well. He was having trouble recognizing them all, now. He’d rather been hoping that the other angel would be visiting the bar, so that he could pay a quick visit and get out of there, but it seemed Gabriel was not so lucky; Michael was nowhere in sight.
He dutifully avoided looking over at a couple snogging over their wine, and took a seat at an empty table. After all, if he had to waste time chasing after Michael, he was at least going to need a drink first.
Gabriel sighed again. Being the Messenger of God really wasn’t what it used to be.
