Neuro/Yako Vid!

May 05, 2010 15:33

So, um, hi! I'm a big lurker, but I finally figured out how to make a simple video for our beloved couple, and I'd like to share. I've had this idea forever, and even tried making it in Powerpoint, of all things. Didn't work out too great, but then I found iMovie!

Anyway, please enjoy!

Song: Gravity
Artist: Sara Bareilles

Thank you so much! I've had this idea running in my head for months, but was too intimidated by video-maker programs to really try it, since I'm absolutely clueless about that. It was really lucky that I found out about iMovie. I'm planning another vid now. :D

I used to have too much time on my hands, so I surfed fan art sites like crazy nuts. XD My collection right now is... big. Still adding, though. Can't say no to the NeuYako. ^^

I have iMovie on my Mac, but I couldn't figure out how to splice clips together, let alone sync them to music. I'm kinda technophobic. ;w;

Heck yeah! *airpunch*

Actually, this is my first time ever using iMovie (today, around 11AM, first time opening it with any intention of trying to use it). I didn't even know what it was for. lol Right now it's all I can do to get the picture's fading timing right, which is actually quite simple. I'm sure there are tutorials all over the place if you look. It's gonna be a long while, if ever, until I dare to touch anime clips, ye Gawd!

Definitely one of the best 3 minutes and 44 seconds ever spent in my life. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Absolutely beautiful choice of pictures (so many pieces I've never seen before!! ♥o♥!) accompanied with an equally wonderful song. You didn't need any fancy transitions in between, they all just flowed and matched the lyrics brilliantly. I would not have believed this was one of your first AMVs.

Thank you so much for sharing.

*is on cloud nine* Thank you! It's my pleasure that you enjoyed it so thoroughly. To tell the truth, I don't know how to use the fancier transitions just yet so this is about all I can do, but it fits my original intent and works out very well anyway. I thought of an amv this couple ever since I got addicted to the song. I'm so happy to have finally made the vid.

I hoard fan arts by the loads and will click on anything to find it, even though I can't read Japanese. lol Those artists hide them in the most devious places sometimes. ;)

P.S.: I love the comic strip your icon is from! <3 Yay Setllon!

That might just be exactly why the amv flowed so artistically! Simple really can be the best way to go about things and this was a perfect example of that. ♥

I still need to go on a pixiv/tegaki hunt myself! I'm sure I'm missing out so much wonderful stuff! +__+

SETLLON LOVE. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I've been scouring up and down Pixiv for days on end now to get the right pics for my second AMV, all 200-something pages of it. My collection was not enough, unfortunately, big though it is. Maybe I should find out more about this Tegaki thing so I can spread my search there, too. xD

I love many Neuro fan artists, but Setllon is my absolute favorite. <33
